The Valley Edit was created from a simple idea. I wanted to know more about the people around us. Not just what they do, but who they are, how they got here and what happened along the way.

There are so many stories in the Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding communities that deserve to be told. Stories of people who took a chance on an idea, walked through something incredibly hard, built something they believed in, helped someone when nobody was watching or found their purpose in a way they never expected. Sometimes we see these people every day and have no idea what their story really is.

That is what I love most about The Valley Edit. I get to sit across from someone and listen. Almost every interview starts with me thinking I know what the story is going to be, and by the end, I realize there is so much more to it. Those are the stories I want to share. The real ones. The ones that make you laugh, make you cry, inspire you or simply remind you how much good exists right here in our own community.

But I can't find all of those stories by myself, and that is where this community has become such a huge part of The Valley Edit. Some of my favorite stories have started because someone reached out and said, "You need to meet this person." I want to keep hearing those names.

If there is someone whose story has stayed with you, someone who has made a difference in your life or someone you simply think deserves to be seen, I want to hear about them. They don't need to own a business or have a huge accomplishment. They just need to have a story worth telling.

The Valley Edit is a place to slow down, look a little closer and get to know the people who make this Valley feel like home.

"The best stories are the ones lived right next door."
